Semantics in HTML 5

The BBC's dropping of hCalendar because of accessibility and usability concerns demonstrates that we have pushed the semantic capability of HTML far beyond what it can handle. Creative Anvil Launches New Web Site for Network 1 Communications

Creative Anvil recently launched a new web site for Network 1 Communications. Network 1 Communications provides wireless internet service in the St. Louis Metropolitan Area and has been growing quickly.

Creative Anvil was excited to be selected by Network 1 Communications to create their new web site. The site features a service availability check, which includes integration with Google Maps. Additionally, the site allows users to sign up for a plan, directly from the web site. The site also includes integration with Network 1 Communications' network infrastructure, allowing users to gain instant access to the network upon creating an account online.

The site features an extensive account management and billing back-end, allowing Network 1 Communications staff to have full customer-management capabilities.

Creative Anvil also created a login system for the network that integrates with network infrastructure, including access points and network authentication. This login system is used daily by every Network 1 Communications customer. The login sysytem also implements MAC Address Authentication, allowing users to simply click a 'Remember this computer' checkbox to automatically link their computer to their account and avoid having to enter their password everytime they want to access the internet!

We have been contracted to work with Maryville University's Marketing and Public Relations department to develop some new online marketing piece . We will be producing a series of flash animations for use on the new university website which is scheduled to launch in September. The new flash pieces will focus on showcasing faculty, students and alumni and how Maryville University impacts their lives. We are proud to have Maryville as a client and we look forward to a long and impactful relationship.

Creative Anvil Launches New Kopytek Website

Creative Anvil launches exciting new online presence for Kopytek Inc. The site is a step forward for Kopytek, who was just named one of the 25 largest printing companies in the area by The St. Louis Business Journal. Kopytek is not only focused on producing extremely high quality printed materials, they are also extremely concerned with making it as easy as possible for the client to do business with them. They do this online by integrating web applications that allow them to upload their files directly to their production team, right from the site. They also have a great tool called "My Order Center" that allows clients to catalog their projects online and order directly from the site.

As much as Kopytek is growing, they are always looking for talented and dedicated team members to help fulfill their customers' needs. This need led us to create a web application that allows them to post current openings and let users submit resumes directly to their HR Department, thus streamlining this process for their internal staff. Kopytek put a lot of forethought into this project, and we at Creative Anvil were happy to partner with them to make it become a reality.
